Hi
Jane and Nikos - Hope it is not too hot in Greece this month!
We made it back safely and everyone had a great trip. The girls noted that highlights included the tours with Nikos. I think Madeline and Bren wished they would have had a "Nikos" available in the other countries they visited. I have been spreading the good word about Greek Private Tours and just gave your contact information to someone who is coming to Greece in September. Attached are a few pictures to enjoy or even post on the site. There are some good ones of Nikos. I really like the picture of the girls jumping at the Parthenon! Again, thank you for making our trip so enjoyable. All the best, Kim July 2009.

May 2010/ Dear Alexa: We are back home after a fabulous time in Greece (still waking up at 4 am and feeling sleepy by 7 pm--jet lag is no fun!). I wanted to report to you that our tour-guide, Vasilis, was wonderful. He is an excellent driver and a smart, good-humoured, personable young man. He was polite and helpful at all times, and went out of his way to accommodate our wishes and interests. We were very pleased with his selections of places to eat, and with his constant concern for our comfort, convenience, and satisfaction. Once, when we came back from a long, hot walk, he greeted us with bottles of cold water. Another time, one of us asked about a Greek pastry we'd heard of, and the next day, he made a little "detour," took us to a cafe, and treated us to coffee and the 'bougatsa' we'd mentioned. He always drove us right up to the ticket window of every site we visited, told us where he would meet us when we finished, and he was always there, waiting for us. We thoroughly enjoyed his company, and he made our tour all the more enjoyable for his presence and guidance. As Vasilis gains more experience, and more knowledge about the histories and details of the various sites, he will be an absolutely perfect guide! All four of us loved him--it was hard to say 'good-bye.' As for the tour itself, we were extremely pleased with the way it was planned and with all that we got to see. Each day was full, without being overwhelming. There was a good balance of free time and activity. Our accommodations ranged from fine to very impressive. Of the many unforgettable and fascinating places we visited, we enjoyed every one, but we were most impressed by Meteora and Olympia. And, in Athens, there is the Acropolis, of course, but the Acropolis Museum is also a must-see. The tour you planned for us was just about perfect!
For my husband and me, this was the first time we ever booked a private tour of such length, and the entire experience was an outstanding one for us. I thank you most sincerely for all of your help and many quick responses while we were planning. We have come home with happy memories to last a lifetime. You can be sure that we recommend your company and services, without reservation, to all of our friends. Thank you again. Very truly yours, Kathleen Middleton kmid@verizon.net
Hello Alexa, We
just arrived back in the United States
from our vacation. We had a wonderful time.
I wanted to thank you for the wonderful tour
of Athens that you provided us with on Sunday October 25th
2009. The guide and driver you provided were
really exceptional. They were wonderful to be with, very knowledgeable,
and showed us a terrific day. We thoroughly enjoyed your beautiful
city and the service that you provided.
In the future if we know of anyone coming
to Athens I will be sure to recommend them to you.
Also, if you
need a reference or recommendation for one of your prospective
clients feel free to have them contact me.
Again, thank you. Sincerely,
Allen Mischel

October 2009. I want to tell you how much we enjoyed our day’s tour of Athens on October 11. We came in on an Azamara cruise line ship and our family of three was met at the port by your guide. (I did not write his name down anywhere, thinking I would not forget it---now that I am writing this note, I cannot remember his name). I want you to know that this young man was an excellent guide. We had some personal problems---too much luggage for one. He was so innovative in solving our problems. For instance: he left our extra bags at his own house so that we could be more comfortable in the car for the day. He took us to the elevator to the Acropolis and made sure that my handicapped husband go to use it. Later, he helped us get to the front of a long line at the Acropolis museum, by using a letter from our physician. He worked very hard to be sure we could see many things in our one-day tour, and finally took us to the airport for our connections on to Istanbul. I just want you to know how excellent we thought this young man was. Please give him our regards and thanks. Sincerely, Tom and Anne Gale thomas.gale@cox.net
Hello
Alexa, I just wanted to write you a short note to let you know that we were pleased with the two transfers that I pre-arranged with your company and the two private tours of Athens and Corinth. I will recommend your company to our clients and hope to use your company again on our next visit to Athens .Howard Buxbaum Woods Hansen Travel & Cruises June 2009 As pensioners it is not always easy to travel but Nick made our trip to Greece a dream. He drove and guided us (He knows the history of Ancient and modern Greece very well) around the mainland of Greece - which is all mountains, he booked the best value accommodation A' class hotels and mansions in the country ( which believe me are not easy to find) and he always chose the best restaurants and taverns for lunch and meals with great food and reasonable prices. We could start the day at the times we wanted and spend as long we wanted at each site, we were not rushed as we would have been if we had gone by coach. Nick is a very good photographer and helped us to take the best shots. We came once and we plan to visit again. Totally recommended. Anne Baxter - England 2009: annieb@freenetname.co.ukAlexa
, My wife and I really enjoyed Nick taking us a round Athens and Corinth . He did a g r eat job and I would recommended him to any one. You have a wonderful country! Thanks again! Walt and Kathy Erwin walterwin@cox.netDear
Alexa. We just arrived home from our vacation and I wanted to thank you and Vayias, in making our visit to Greece memorable. Everything we booked with your company was handled very professionally. Vayias was a pleasure to be with. He was insightful, considerate and very thorough in his explanation of the historical as well as the modern sights of Athens and Delphi . The vehicles and drivers were excellent as well. Thanks again and we will certainly recommend your Company in the future. Regards, Stuart APRIL 2009 Federsfeder@earthlink.netFor myself, my Mom and my Dad, I just wanted to tell you what a wonderful visit we had in Greece . We had concerns about being in a car with a person we didn’t know for a week, but it turns out there was no reason for our concern. Nikos was ver y easy to travel with and made our days together very comfortable. He is enthusiastic and informative, and took us to sites and along roads that we know we would not have seen if we hadn’t been with him. My Mom will be informing Rick Steeves (a US travel write r ) of the excellent time we had, and I hope that it leads to more referrals for your to r s. Thank you for offering this wonderful se r vice. It gave us a wonderful introduction to Greece – which is unforgettable - and we are hoping to be back some day. Mary April 2009 Mbogucki@Amergent.com

Dear Jane, I'm writing to thank you a little belatedly for organizing our trip to Greece last year in Oct. The driver, Christos, was great and we had a very nice time. I gave a positive feedback about you to my friends Yuchun and Brian, who run an online travel company. They would like to get in touch with you to explore possible arrangements in the future. Regards, Sanjay Kakar January 2009 send2me@rocketmail.com
Dear Alexa, Just wanted to wish you and your business members a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year - and all the best for 2009. We would also like to thank you so very much for arranging our pick up last Oct 25 from our cruise port and transportation to the Athens hotel. And also the tour to Delphi on Oct 26. The drivers were all on time and were just fantastic. The Delphi adventure was a tour of a lifetime. Their service and yours couldn't have been more professional and outstanding. For our next visit to your wonderful country we will be sure to contact you. Bill and Jill Bernett October 2008Dear Jane, We just wanted to send you a note saying how much we enjoyed our Greek tour with your company. Our driver Christos was very thoughtful and considerate throughout the tour and very knowledgeable about all the locations we visited. The choice of small hotels and Christos' recommendations for restaurants made our trip feel intimate and relaxed. Christos also showed consideration for my parents age and customised our tour appropriately. We enjoyed all of the destinations and were amazed that this short tour covered so much of what Greece has to offer. All the highlights! The DVD's we watched in the car were a perfect introduction for our destinations, educational, and made the longer trips much more enjoyable. We would be very happy to recommend your tour company to any of our friends. Kind regards and thanks again for making our holiday in Greece very special. Helen and Ken Lackey November 2008 kenanda@zip.com.au
I just wanted to drop a line and let you know how much we enjoyed our trip. Christos was very accommodating and patient with us. We did move kind of slow, but my parents really enjoyed their self and it is the last big vacation they are going on. It was nice being on our own schedule, because we ran a day late all week, and that's why I wanted a private tour so we could take our time. Again we had a great time and Christos was the best. I know he put up with a lot from us. Tell him Thank You so very much. I would like to send him a care package from Texas. Thanks Again for making this trip so special for me and my family. Greece Private is defindetley the way to go. Thanks, Mary Chambliss maryechambliss@hotmail.com
Jane, We would like to thank you for your prompt, thorough, and professional replies and answers to our requests in helping us plan our trip to Greece. Things went smoothly for us. The Hotel in Athens was an excellent choice for our stay (location, comfort ability, and their care for our needs). We enjoyed everything about Greece: the history, culture, food, climate, topography, and people. With the help of Nikos we came home with a new awareness and appreciation of what Greece gave to the civilization of the world. Nikos has an amazing head full of knowledge about the complex history of Greece. Tell him that I spend a good share of the flight back home reading over what we learned from him in a book that I had with me. It was helpful to have all the bits and pieces of Greek history and culture put together in a reading format.... helped me to make sense of it all. I would recommend doing this to those who travel there.... there is so much information. I would also like him to know that I appreciated his input when taking photographs and I have some really good shots up on the computer right now. And now...I am going to look into getting a better camera! Thank you, Ellen Billell billell@nconnect.net
Hi, Jane. Just wanted to let you know that I really enjoyed my tour with Vagias. I learned so much more than I would have learned had I tried to sightsee on my own. I will recommend you and him to my friends who travel to Athens . Thank you very much! Ann Ward award@questcare.net November 2008
Thank you so much for your wonderful service and drivers for the shore excursions you arranged for us in Athens and Olympus . Christos was SO helpful, charming, competant and informative for our Athens excursion and his considerable efforts were greatly appreciated by my wife Marie and I. Caikis was also excellent for our excursion from Katakolon to Olympus and it was one of the most relaxing and enjoyable excursions of the trip. Panisis who arranged the tour in Olympus was also a delight and we will treasure the cuff links and Greek ewer we purchased from him while we were there. It was such a relief to find your company so reliable and punctual and will certainly recommend you to our friends travelling overseas. Thanks again Bryon Williams bwilliams@ngvemail.com
Hello
Nicolas, At the moment we are still enjoying
our 15-day trip in Greece - June /July 2006.
For this reason we want gratefully to thank you for the tour
that you had prepared for us and for guiding us through Greece.
Greece is a splendid country. It was beautiful travelling along
the Peloponnesus region, via Patra to Delphi, Meteora
with the convents, via the altitude ways until Vergina, (… and
all the displacements, stops, meals, hotels, museum visits between).
Each day something about history, culture and entertainment.
You taught us a lot about nature, agriculture, fauna and flora.
The landscape was very varied. The choice of hotels was good,
the meals super!!!
The car was comfortable, you are a good and safe driver (don’t
forget the matches for the little firework to break through
the silence). There was a good understanding and you cared
about us. Also warm thanks to Christos who took care of us in
the airport, on arrival and departure, and who brought us to
Nafplion to start our visit in Greece and accompanied us the
last two days of Meteora back into Athens. We did well by visiting
Athens at the end of our trip. It seemed apotheosis for us,
however. We crossed the city by foot (thanks to a big
strike that day) but we enjoyed it. We visited the Acropolis
and the entire surrounding area. Many thanks to Christos who
spent the last day with us, driving around and who brought us
to the highest top of Athens. We saw the city of Athens, superb
white marble under a radiating sun. It was monumental.
Last but not least we want to thank Jane, your wife, working
behind the baffles, who follows you and organizes everything
from home, who had to miss you these 14 days whereas we enjoyed
and had pleasure, and we admire her that she, even alone, regulated
the movement out from Athens to Nafplion. Cordial thanks.
We hope we will see you once more. Paul en Marleen Delanghe

Small minus. Just one thing, we, Belgian people like to start earlier in de morning, for example in Delphi, it was perhaps better to start earlier that day, because there were so many people. But no mind, when we are 09.00 in the morning, we know we have to start our activities and make the link with You, our good Greek friend end guide Nicolas.
What you thought about us
Your professionalism as a booking agent has made us very confident we will receive the quality tour and transportation we were looking for. That is very important to us when trying to make arrangements for travel in a place which we are not at all familiar. BTJONES1@aol.com
We had a great experience. Our guide was outstanding! Your service was greatly appreciated. LK Struck Lkstruck@ihs.org
Hi Folks, My daughter and I attended a wedding in Rhodes on October 27, 2008 and had only a short time on our return to Canada to see some of Athens . We went on a 6-hour evening tour arranged by Greecetaxi. Our guide, Theo Apostolopoulos, who picked us up at the airport, was a great gentleman, a marvelous host, and a wonderful guide. He was so concerned that we would be happy with our tour and we certainly were. At the end of the tour, I commented to Theo that I thought he was a Greek history professor, with an English major, who was doing part-time tour guiding. He was very good and quite kind and concerned. When I plan my next trip to Greece , my first duty will be to consult with GreecePrivate for more great tours! Thanks very much to all, and a special thank-you to Theo, John and Melissa Dawe dawe@und.cal
Hi Jane,We wanted to drop you a quick note to let you know we loved our tour guide "Kristoff" He was wonderful! He made our Greece trip so very personal and special, we look forward to returning again in the future. Thank you again for all of your help arranging our tour. Sincerely, The Gray Family Jacqueline Gray jgray@d125.org
Jane, I just wanted to send you a short note to thank you very much for arranging for Vayias Nicolaides to lead our tour of Athens on May 5th, 2008. He was a wonderful guide and we enjoyed our day tremendously. He knew exactly where to drop us and when to pick us up and was very informative on the history and sites we were able to see in our short time in Athens . We enjoyed being able to get to Corinth too and he had us back to the boat in plenty of time. Thank you again. We will make sure to recommend you and your company to our friends and comrades who are thinking of visiting Greece . Sincerely, Janet & Grant jstarling@rogers.com

personal address. I just wanted you to know what an enjoyable
trip Mary Ann, Cathy and I had with you. Thank you for all of
your hard work in making our accommodations

OUR needs. Jane thank you for making last minute reservations
to Athens and getting us where we needed to go. Nicholas,

food, the wine, the spectacular scenery and above all the wonderful
people along the way. Jane, I just love my pin, and have gotten
so many compliments.
Thank you
for your thoughtfulness. We hope we will see you again soon.
If you get to the US, please don't hesitate to call us..
I just don't

We found your service to be excellent and will recommend your company to friends. We appreciate the prompt pick-ups as scheduled. The accommodations at Meteora were fantastic. Nicolas was a wonderful host. Many thanks, Marsha Hawk marshahawk@gmail.com
We just got back from our trip and wanted to thank you so much for such a wonderful time. Christos was a wonderful driver and provided us with a lot of information and arranged great guides at the acropolis and in Delphi . I would certainly recommend your company to anyone who is going to come the Greece . We were thrilled not to be with those huge bus tours and kept saying how grateful we were that we had found you. Thank you again for helping us to make our family vacation one of the best ever. Sincerely, Renae Jacobs rjacobs@davidanson.com
Jane, Yasu. I wanted to write to you and tell you what a wonderful time we had with Kostas. We enjoyed our day with him. Thank you very much for your wonderful service. My son even bought a jersey of Kostas' favorite football team(the club team of Athens). Please convey my thanks to Kostas. Kostas was just terrific. His english was great......his driving was great.....and his personal skills are great. John M. Remmers jmr@cmhlaw.comn
Dear Jane, greetings from Singapore. As for Nikos, we enjoyed his company very much. He was a very safe driver and he kept his SUV very clean throughout. In fact, we observed that most cars were very dusty. He had a good knowledge of the key sights and we commend him for his recommendations on where to eat. We enjoyed every meal he recommended. We also enjoyed the country roads he took as the views were fabulous. Hong Sun Wong wonghs68@hotmail.com
Dear Friends, We want to let you know that both tours you arranged for us -- Katakolon/ Olympia and Athens -- were excellent. Takis and Tony both went way beyond the call of duty to provide exactly the kind of experience we were hoping to get. My friend Coralie De Marco of CDM Travel in Melbourne Australia recommended you and I have already thanked her for the contact. I would like to add a link to you from my own page: http://www.initaly.com/info/walking.htm and a few other such as: http://www.trip-to-europe.com/ I would be grateful if you would add a link to my tours (http://www.initaly.com/info/walking.htm) from your site. Thanks again for two very special days!
Just wanted to say thanks
again to Nicolas and Jane - Jane for getting us set up with
the hotels along our stay in mainland Greece, Nic for his excellent
driving and information along the trip. We were picked up by
Nic at the Athens airport and he helped us get our copious luggage
into his Mercedes (Vito?) van, and we set out on our journey
to Delphi, Olympia, and back to Athens over the next several
days. It was a great trip, Nic has a great selection of cafes
and tavernas to choose from along the way, the hotel selection
was great, and we had absolutely no complaints. The route selections
he drove were scenic and largely relaxing (outside of a few
hairpin turns in the mountains that Nic negotiated wonderfully!)
After the usual ice-breaking period, we found Nic to be professional,
but humorous, and we couldn't have found a better choice for
the trip. Thanks again to everybody at

Jane, I wanted to write and tell you what a wonderful time we had on our tour with Christos. He was very knowledgeable about everything. His driving skills were excellent, and he knew his way around so well that we were able to see everything that we wanted and still have time remaining.
I would highly recommend both your service and Christos to anyone that we know that is coming to Athens (And also tell them to use the link on your web site for a tour of Santorini) Thank you again for making our experience in Athens a memorable one. Stuart and Christina Neft neftist@aol.comHello I just wanted to say how pleased I am with your service and Christos. Christos made our tour much more rich and interesting. He could not have been more pleasant or knowledgeable. This was our one trip to Greece and I feel blessed to have our experience work out so sweetly. God Bless, Tammy Haskins tamilyn5634@gmail.com
Hello. We just wanted to extend a sincere thank you to Christos and Greece private taxi! We had a fantastic day together in Athens. Christos greeted us at our cruise terminal and kindly showed us all around Athens the entire day! He was so kind and polite he felt like family! We could never have had this good of day without your tour! When we got back on our ship that night all of our friends were jealous of our day! We will, and have already recommended your service! Thanks again. Yiasas! Chris and Angela Wilson, Vista, CA houseof5@cox.net
I am writing to say how much we enjoyed our tour with Christos on May 28th. As the weather was very rainy that day, we did not go to Cape Sounion as planned. Instead he drove us all around Athens and we were able to visit the National Museum. I had been in Athens for a week in June 1990 so it was interesting to me to see how the city had changed in 17 years. It was nice to have a private driver with the flexibility to change our plans based on the weather and to get such a nice tour of the city. Thanks, Alice Gander alice@alicegander.com
Hi Nikolaos, I wanted to drop a quick note to thank you again for all your time and efforts to make my family's vacation in Greece so fun and memorable. Your knowledge, company, and choices were all outstanding; and I would unhesitatingly recommend you and your service to anyone wishing to tour Greece. You made it possible (and enjoyable) to cover more of Greece, in less time, than I would have believed. Again, thank you very much.-- Vojin vdvorak@mediacy.com
Dear Nicolas: A quick note of thanks. I just returned home to Montreal, Canada after 6 weeks away in Eastern Europe and the Mediterranean. A highlight of our trip was most definitely Athens, a city of beauty and style so unlike any other. I look forward to returning for a week long stay in 2008. The trip to Athens was highlighted by such a charming, knowledgeable and welcoming guide – Christos. He got us access to places we did not think we could get into (like the Stadium). He was simply the best guide we had in our 6 weeks and multiple guides. Greece Private is highly recommended to any traveler seeking a private guide and private, comfortable transport. Many thanks for such a great service. Warmest regards, Toby Simkin TobyS@TobySimkin.com
Dear Niko, Thank you so much for our wonderful week touring Greece. We've never had a family vacation that was as much fun for us as it was for the kids... and such an awesome education for all of us! The mini-bus was perfect for the 5 of us - so nice not to have to drive, or be stuck on one of those big tour buses! Being able to go on smaller roads and places where most of the tourist don't see made us feel like we were seeing the real Greece - and it was great to have someone who loves their country, and its history, to show it to us. It was the best family vacation we've ever had - no stress for us, lots of fun, great food and beautiful places.....thank you !!! With fond regards, Michael, Jo, Michael, Tim and Annabelle Cousins/ Norway michaelc@broadpark.no
Dear Nicolas, Hope this letter finds
you and your family well. I wanted to take a moment to thank
you again. We had a very nice tour and I know I couldn't have
come close to making it as smooth and organized without you.
You're good at what you do, and I'll be very ready to refer
others to you. All in all, a very good trip to Greece,
and I appreciate your part in it. Best, Guy Kay.
Dear Niko, Just wanted to drop a line to let you know how much
we enjoyed our stay in Greece and offer our appreciation to
you for the trip you prepared for us. I feel we saw many places
that most tourists to Greece don't get to see and that aspect
made it particularly special. However, I'm fully prepared
to return to Greece one day as I felt really comfortable there.
I may consider it as a skiing destination one day - never knowing
before that skiing did indeed exist there. Enjoy the holiday
with your family. Should you ever pass through Canada one day
(Toronto in particular), I hope that you will let us know. Regards,
Laura Kay.
Happy 2007 - New Year Jane. I wanted to send you our thanks for such a WONDERFUL visit to Greece. We are telling everyone we know about Christos and Nicolas! We promised to send them pictures of the LARGE fish we passed en route to Delphi. So, I have attached that picture along with two of us from their tours! If you ever need someone to write a recommendation for your business, please let us know. We hope that your mother and sister returned safely to English. It was such a pleasure to meet them and your two children. I know you will be most happy once you are settled in your new beautiful house! Cheers and thank you again! Dear Niko, I am writing
to you in the hope that you will share my comments with persons
wishing a reference for your tours of Greece. You may duplicate
and distribute the following as you may find appropriate.
“We were a group of four American experienced travelers
but none of us had ever visited Greece before May of 2005.
In setting up our tour we put ourselves in Nicolas’ hands for
ten days and could not have been more pleased. In consultation
with us he planned our itinerary, selected hotels, places to
eat and sites to visit. His careful work and consideration resulted
in a simply outstanding vacation. We were impressed with Nicolas’
knowledge of Greece from both a historical and current day perspective.
He knows a great deal and he is articulate even to the extent
of appreciating the subtle nuances of English. We toured in
his Mercedes Benz van and felt safe with his driving habits
even as we wound through small roads up and down mountainsides
and through villages that could barely accommodate a single
car. One member of our group had some special needs in terms
of not being able to walk well and so Nicolas took special attention
to finding ways that she could enjoy the places that were unreachable
for her by foot. Time and space do not allow my sharing with
you my thoughts about all the magnificent ancient sites we visited
but I will say they were even more spectacular than I remembered
from the many texts and photographs I have seen.
In making our decision to tour with Nicolas as opposed to taking
a cruise or a tour bus we decided that having a personal and
knowledgeable person leading us and staying in smaller villages
and eating the foods that the people of Greece eat would be
better than being on a large ship and partaking in the 24 hour
buffets of mostly American food or stopping at restaurants that
could accommodate large buses. As the trip concluded we congratulated
each other on making a wise decision. Nicolas is a very talented
individual and you must insist that as part of your tour he
shows you his photographs of a Greece that you can’t possibly
see in one tour. He has captured the seasons and the whole country
of beautiful scenery. He also does some fine drawings and again
we urge you to ask him to show you some of his artwork.
We found Nicolas to be completely
reliable, considerate, well spoken and very wholesome. If we
plan to return to Greece to see other parts of this wonderful
country, as we may well do, we would have no reservation at
all about reengaging him.”
Niko, the Morrison’s and the Ringel’s appreciate all
the many ways in which you made our visit to Greece so special.
As I promised I have just purchased a copy of Why People Believe
Weird Things (remember the book that talked about religion and
science and aliens visiting earth?) and I wish to send it to
you as a gift. Please give me a good mailing address so that
I can get the material to you. I am also including some photographs
that I took of Greece and I want you to appreciate that you
have real competition in the field of photography. Your work
is great and my work is…(I’ll let
you fill in the correct adjectives). If you would like to use
some of these photographs on your website, you may do so. The
only restriction is that if the photograph wins a national prize
you will have to acknowledge my artistic mastery. Best regards

and I wish to thank you for a memorable five day trip
in Greece. We were impressed with your professionalism
both in driving and relating the history of your land.
It is difficult to say what part was most memorable. I particularly
enjoyed Meteora, and if you get to it, would welcome a CD or
Internet transmission of some of the pictures you took. Of particular
interest are those of the monks. If anyone needs a reference
feel free to use our name.

I spoke to our local wood stove expert.
He had nothing but promotional material for particular stoves
or fireplaces. I did however go onto "Goggle", and "Ask Jeeves"
and entered, " Heating with Wood", and did get a lot of interesting
material. It is better sorted by you than me. A couple
sites, particularly from Canada, looked excellent. If there
is anything specific I can research for you let me know. Your
method of house construction should be reviewed by builders
in Florida and our Gulf Coast. Yours appears to me, hurricane
proof. Best regards to you, your father and family. If
you ever contemplate a trip to the US, we are 300 miles
from New York City, and 120
mi. from Toronto. Norman R.

Nikolas, Hello Thank you for the escort service you provided us with. We returned home just fine, but it took our luggage 3 days to make it home. They decided to tour Paris without us! Please look at this page http://thetells0.tripod.com/arrival.html Ron is desperately trying to get me to use the IBM tools to do these pages, but it takes practice. I hope to add to these and maybe do more sophisticated work on them later. Kathy Tell
Hi, We just want to thank you for a wonderful tour. We really appreciated all of your knowledge and time. I have given your name out to a Judy Norton.. She may contact you. I will keep your email for future reference. Here is my website…. www.cruisesinc.com/csocol, per your request. Once again, many thanks for our tour of Delphi. By the way, the restaurant at the Plaka your recommended was excellent….Sincerely, Carol Socol.
Dear Nicola, Thanks for a great trip. We're trying hard to adjust to being home. We've been very busy looking at all the slides Allen took, reminiscing, and trying to hold on to the wonderful memories. We even went to a Greek festival at a local church hoping to have some of that wonderful food, but even though it was named the same ie. mousaka etc. it wasn't as good as all those wonderful tavernas you took us to. I hope Chris relayed my messages about the islands and the Villa brochure. I wanted to call Jane and give her my impressions, but Chris discouraged me from doing that saying he would tell you himself. We hope you have a wonderful vacation. You certainly deserve it. Thanks again for a wonderful experience in Greece. P.S.> I've given your name to a number of people. Lois and Allen Phipps apphipps@earthlink.net
Nickolas, Tom and I want
to thank you so much for a delightful 3 days in the Peloponnesus
region with you. Your history lessons made the sights we saw
that much more interesting. And, eating in authentic Greek restaurants
with very good home made food was terrific. Tom and I can't
get enough of those Greek salads. Too bad our tomatoes don't
taste like yours. We loved riding in the comfort of your Mercedes
- you are a careful and considerate driver. The two nights that
we spent in the Pension were wonderful. Nafplion is such
a charming village and the location of the Pension, overlooking
the village, was perfect. Rereading your website makes me realize
how good it is. You know how we talked about reading about something,
then seeing it, then reading it again making it all so much
clearer.
We congratulate Greece
on winning the European championship in Soccer. That makes
both of us winners since our Basketball team in Michigan won
the National title, too. We hope you have a good summer with
your Olympic activities. Thanks again so much for enhancing
our Greek adventure. Tom and Judy Lewis

Nick, Thank you for making our trip to Greece a very special memory. It was the icing on the cake of our tour. You are a very knowledgeable caring tour guide. We felt very safe and confident in your care. Please feel free to use our name as a reference to anyone. We will highly recommend you and I am sure Ginny will do the same. Thank you for the pictures of the olive tree and the Easter drawing by your daughter. She seems to be talented. If you come to the U S A please call us. Best regard to your family. Your Friends, Charles and Jean Boggsc.boggs@home.com
Hi Nicolas. I just wanted
to let you know that we're home. A real good trip. As I told
Lew, a trip unlike any other I've had. Due to Nikos, thank you
sir. How many American tourists can say they've stayed in Arachova?
It was one of my favorite evenings. And the drive out along
the coast to Sounion with all the beautiful scenery and all
the open-air seafood restaurants. (Nicolas, I will try to find
the article in Gourmet about this. It would be a good reference
to include on your website.) So your copy of my "report" to
my travel agent friends follows this e-mail.
<< Part of my report: Nicolas is a real
winner! He is personable, intelligent, and thoughtful, he has
a great sense of humor. He drives calmly and safely. He is a
family man and understands that he has to prove his trustworthiness
in order to succeed. He succeeds ,he is absolutely trustworthy.
He calls himself a taxi driver, but I think that's a translation
problem. He is definitely not a taxi driver in our concept of
the term. He's a next-door neighbor, he' s a big brother, he's
a friend.>>

Nikolas, I was looking at our pictures of our brief vacation in Greece and it reminded me about the great time we had, with your assistance. I have referred several friends and family member planning trips to Greece to contact you. I hope you and the family are enjoying the summer. Feel free to use me as a reference. Dear Nikolas. We arrived home Friday night and felt very fortunate as we were one of only two flights to get to the USA. Thank you for all your help in Athens. The half day tour was excellent and I will recommend you to all our friends and my two travel agents. It is such a pleasure to be so carefully driven in your spotless Mercedes and given so much helpful information on the sites as well as restaurants. You were always on time and waiting in the airport even when we were quite late arriving. You made our stay in Athens easy, interesting and fun. Sincerely thanks from Kath and Chub Engler kageart@home.com
Αγαπητέ

Hi Nikolas, Thank you for your email. I took the liberty of forwarding a copy to each of the other four ladies that enjoyed your expertise of tour guiding. Thank you for a most memorable Greek adventure! We still talk about our outdoor lunch near the Gulf of Corinth. You did a superb job! It was indeed an incredible experience to see what we saw and did in just one day. You were great! The email address for our tour guide in Istanbul is: altug1@yahoo.com I wish many great things for you and your family in 2002, Jerlyn Courtney Jerlynwc@cs.com
Nicolas,
I can not believe it has taken me so long to thank you once
again for the fabulous time we had in Greece. As we all gathered
together during Christmas, there were many fond memories of
our trip to Greece retold! We went through all our pictures
together and relived the trip once again! Your knowledge of
the land and people, your great suggestions of where to visit,
and you as a person, made our experience a once in a lifetime
experience. Our family is forever tied together with the bond
of traveling together and having such a great experience in
your wonderful country. I hope all is going well for you and
honestly, if you ever come to the U.S., please contact us, we
would love to share some ouzo with you in our home! My
web site is:
http://www.pressenter.com/~sbschils My site
is very simple, not as nice as yours so it will not be very
interesting I'm afraid! But, if you ever know anyone who needs
help with feeding their horses, let me know! Peace, Sheila,
Brian, Jo, Jack, Dean and Kara
sbschils@pressenter.com
P.S. Dean wanted me to thank you again for going back
to the hotel and picking up his crutches that he had forgotten!
Nikolas! Feel free
to add this further recommendation to your website! Thank
you so much for meeting me at the airport in Athens and getting
me back again safely. As a woman regularly travel alone, it
makes a terrific difference to know that on arrival in the middle
of the night, alone and tired, I can be swiftly and safely transported
to my hotel. Thank you again. I had a wonderful time, and will
be passing your email address onto all my co-students at the
university of London.

Chris
made our trip to Athens. He is informative, intelligent, honest
and a joy to be with. He is an expert, especially when it comes
to finding the best places to visit. He took my wife and I to
a wonderful non-tourist inn outside of Athens and we ate the
best lamb and pork on earth. He is delightful company and if
you want to really enjoy yourself be sure to book with Chris.

Hi Nicolas! Just want the readers of your Web site to know that I cannot praise highly enough the wonderfully informative quality and the naturally friendly spirit of the tour you gave my wife and me while we were in Greece in June of 2002. ... DEAR READER, Nicolas' taxi was most comfortable; his manner of driving always made you feel safe; and his knowledge of the sites we asked him to show us was exceptional (it was even obvious that he had done a lot of extra research before picking us up at our hotel). It was our experience that Nicolas was willing to go out of his way to help us love the country he himself obviously loves so much. He didn't have to take us to out-of-the-way places like Aigosthena and Oedipus road , but he did. Nicolas is a delightfully cordial and relaxed person, and because of this I'm sure you'll relive many fine moments of the tour he gives you. I know we do! Our day with Nicolas between Athens and Delphi remains at the top of the list of our pleasantest times in Greece. Warm regards, Bill Hoar, Northern State University, Aberdeen, South Dakota, USA ... hoarw@northern.edu
Hello Nikolas, We miss Greece already. Tony and I wanted to thank you for your help with our transfers. Anyone willing to pick us up at 4am deserves many more THANKS than we can express. You made the trip so easy and such a pleasure. If everyone realized what a kind, intelligent and well informed Taxi-Driver you are; you would never have any spare time to work on your art !!! Please feel free to use us as a reference. We promise to call you next time we make it to Athens. Wishing you much health and happiness. Warmest Regards, Tony & Mary Zollo zolloam@lcc.net
Hello Nikolas. Many thanks
for your efforts in making our trip to Greece most enjoyable.
The day we spent with you traveling to Delphi was pleasant and
we appreciated the additional stops and your knowledgeable commentary.
We all agreed that the restaurant you chose at Delphi for lunch
provided one of the tastiest meals of our trip. Our regards
and thanks also to Christos for his good-natured willingness
to do additional duty in picking up Emily and her baggage at
her apartment on the way from the airport to the hotel. We look
forward to seeing you during our next visit to Greece. Best
wishes, Kurt Peters, Elizabeth Hopp-Peters and Emily Peters.

Hi Nick, it's hard
to believe that just a week ago we were packing and getting
ready for our long anticipated trip! Last night we were looking
over the first batch of photos we got back, reliving the wonderful
days we spend with you in your beautiful country. I am still
amazed at how much we saw! We three had a truly great time and
I am especially glad that Andrei could experience Greece and
its history first hand. We appreciated your knowledge of the
ancient sites and loved listening to your stories. Your choice
of places was exactly what we had been looking for. (Although
I did not realize I was going to be so tired at the end of the
day..)
The
hotels we stayed in were perfect (I loved the Pension in Napflio).
And I am very happy that you added Meteora to the trip. The
views from the mountain tops are out of this world! Thank you
for being such a good companion and driver! Please give our
regards and thanks to Christos for the pleasant days
we spend with him.
Good luck in the future - and maybe to a return for
us? 8/10/2002 Yassou!

Nicolas, Hardly seems a week since we left. It was a wonderful trip made better through your efforts. I thought you'd like this snap of Meteora. I'm sending you a book. Where do you want it sent? Again, that you for making a great trip even better. Your knowledge and skills made it fantastic. Please use the letters as you want. You really did make our vacation a great holiday and we enjoyed being with you. Both of us felt like we were traveling with a friend. Dan Drooz PhD. 1302-3287615 drooz@comcast.net
Dear
Nicolas, Hope you and your family are well. We all want
to say again how wonderful you made our visit to Greece, truly
unforgettable and we thank you for your kindness and patience.
We have sung your praise to many of our friends!!! We loved
meeting your wonderful family and came away with the hope we
will all meet again. Bermuda is hot and humid and we long for
the dry heat of Greece. We are getting back into the routine
of daily life and are beginning to think about taking Nicola
back up to school in New Hampshire at the end of the month and
seeing our new house. I hope your business is doing well and
you had some time off with your family.
Thanks for the photographs! What a great dinner that was in
Nafplion. Please keep in touch (as will we) and hope to see
you over our way soon. Best wishes. Colin,
Renate and Nicola rmuir@ibl.bm
Hi Nikolas,
Well, we are now home and trying to recover from jet lag. We
got out of Athens at 11:30 instead of 12 because the air traffic
controllers were going on strike at 12. That was a close one!
The rest of the trip went very smoothly although Helyn was not
well and it was very hard on her. She went to the doctor ...
it is not good news at all. Thank you for all your help and
patience with her health issues. The trip meant a great deal
to them and was the fulfillment of a fifteen year dream for
her and I. We really appreciated your service. I don't think
Helen could have made the trip on a regular coach tour. You
are a good driver and negotiated the traffic and directions
with such ease! We would never even think of driving in Athens
after seeing the traffic and the mazes of streets. The weeklong
tour was fabulous. It far exceeded our expectations and took
us to places that we would have missed on our own or with other
organized tours. One of the best parts was the flexibility we
had to stop when we wanted and to go when we were finished.
It really beat having to wait around for fifty other people
on a tour bus and I don't think the trip cost any more than
if we had gone on a large tour. Thank you for all the help and
for sharing so many of your favorite places with us. It was
a great trip. We would be glad to recommend you and your service
to anyone. Sincerely, Debi and Jim Linker

PS: you are a good artist and should really keep going
with it. Thank you for sharing your work with us.
