As we enter the ancient city we can see the Acardian gate ( a wall that circles the city which is still in a good shape).

After sightseeing we can enjoy a wonderful meal at cafe Ithomi, which is owned by Niko Kountouris. From his external veranda which sits high above the ruins you obtain a full view of the ancient city whilst enjoying a cold beer of a glass of local wine. Next we drive to Kalamata and we will take a unique scenic coastal road to Mani... Mani is an open Museum, with the tower houses and the unique morphology which combines Mountains and Sea.  Drive on to Areopolis a large village (with taverns) in the typical Maniot style, tower houses and churches.
